June 5th WHEN Meeting
11:30 - 1:00 pm
Speaker: Kim Gebron, Certified Master Coach
Topic: Goals - Guidelines for Producing Results
KIM GEBRON
Kim Gebron realized at an early age that her life’s avocation is to mentor, train, and work with others, whether it’s for self advancement or ensuring business success. She does not believe in the words “can’t” or “quit” as they are do not exist in her vocabulary. She knows that all things are possible.
Business associates and friends comment on her ability to seamlessly transform from one industry to another. This is because she understands that basic business principles are constant. Kim’s consultative approach is solution-based and involves thinking both inside and outside the box.
BACKGROUND
Ms. Gebron’s industry experience began with her career as a personnel generalist and then as a training specialist. She developed and taught classes in time management, effective office procedures, computer software, law office management, business office practices, resume writing and interview techniques. She became licensed to teach a multitude of safety classes, including defensive driving and first aid/CPR. During this time, she transitioned into the fields of school photography and educational sales.
Kim has successfully started, managed, and sold four businesses, three of which provided training services, and one that was a day care and school photography company.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from Carnegie-Mellon University, her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law, and a Masters in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix.
Kim is the co-founder of HIP, Hospitality Industry Pros, an organization for companies that sell to and service restaurants and hotels. She is the Membership Chair of the Memorial Women’s Business Network, is their 2008 Woman of Excellence nominee, and serves on the board of her condo association. Kim is a Master Certified Coach in business productivity for Starr/CTC Consulting, Training, and Coaching and develops and teaches classes.
In her spare time, she rescues and rehabilitates feral cats and writes a monthly newspaper column on networking for the DBA Houston publication.
